Witness tip leads to two arrests in North Buffalo

Two men were arrested at about 2 p.m. Saturday in North Buffalo after police said one was in possession of prescription drugs outside their container and another was seen carrying a large black flashlight.

A witness told police he saw the men, Eric Sandy, 24, of Main St., Clarence, and Charles Skurka, 23, Highgate Ave., Buffalo, entering and trying to enter several cars near the 200-block of Woodbridge Avenue.

Upon investigation, Sandy was in possession of pills and had an active bench warrant and Skurka had a large black flashlight, police said.

The men’s vehicle was impounded. Police said the charges include attempted larceny, criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a burglar’s tools.
