Read to Succeed Buffalo promoted Lisa McCue to director of operations. McCue, who has been with the organization since 2008, previously served as operations manager. She also previously served as director of operations with Homewatch Caregivers of Buffalo and as a staff development manager and site manager with Rivershore Inc. for 10 years.


Usherwood Office Technology named Brittany Moore director of inside sales. Moore holds a bachelor’s degree from Cazenovia College. She was a founder and co-chairwoman of the Silent Art Auction to benefit “Two Smiles One Hope,” a nonprofit to support muscular dystrophy, in Cazenovia. Moore most recently was a senior account executive at Rapid Response.


Biel’s Document Management, a paperless office solutions and document management solution provider, appointed Tom Shanahan area manager, serving the Rochester territory. Shanahan, a graduate of the University at Buffalo with a master’s in library and information, was previously was a records management specialist at NASA.

Company Connections

The Brothers of Mercy Housing Corp. was awarded a $1,490,826 grant by the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York through the federal Affordable Housing Program to fund rehabilitation of 100 apartments on the nonprofit organization’s Clarence property. Evans Bank submitted the funding application. Renovations will encompass both interior and exterior projects at the building, which was built in 1972. Sixty of the Brothers of Mercy senior apartments on Bergtold Road will be reserved for those with household incomes at or below 50 percent of the average median income.


Eastern Niagara Hospital’s Lockport and Newfane sites have joined HEALTHeLINK, Western New York’s clinical information exchange. HEALTHeLINK enables the access and the sharing of patient health information electronically among treating health care providers throughout Western New York.


Moog Inc., East Aurora, was awarded a $378,000 federal contract for analog tool converters from the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command, Philadelphia.
