Jamestown robbery suspect arrested

JAMESTOWN – A 27-year-old Jamestown woman was arrested late this morning in connection with an unsuccessful attempt to rob the US News Store at 1377 E. Second Street on Jan. 5, Jamestown Police announced.

Jena S. Blocker was arrested at her home and charged with a felony count of attempted robbery in the third-degree. After an initial arraignment in City Court she was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail pending further proceedings. Blocker is accused of handing the clerk a note demanding money from the cash register. She allegedly fled without any money, police said.
