ALL’S FAIRE – Fun and food are on the menu as Aurora Waldorf School, 525 West Falls Road, West Falls, holds its annual Winter Faire from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5, and children 16 and under will receive $5 in activity tickets with their admission.

Activities include the popular cupcake walk, children’s handcrafts, puppet shows, storytelling in an enchanted castle, jump-rope making and roaming pocket ladies and jewel gnomes.

A full range of dishes created by the school’s in-house chef and modeled after the award-winning lunch program will be available, including homemade lentil shepherd’s pie, mac and cheese, and hearty soups, with take-home quarts available for purchase. BECOME AN EXPERT – Share your love of local history and architecture by becoming a tour leader. Preservation Buffalo Niagara will start its 10-week Buffalo Tours Docent Training Program from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 25 in the Buffalo History Museum.

The first five weeks will cover history, preservation, hospitality and public speaking skills, while the second five weeks will concentrate on a specialty tour of your choice. Advance registration is $60, $30 for Preservation Buffalo Niagara members. For info and to sign up, visit


LADIES’ NIGHT – Participants will create an 11-by-14-inch painting in the Wine, Women & Art class led by artist Andrea Oswald on Thursday evening in the Enjoy the Journey Art Gallery, 1168 Orchard Park Road, West Seneca.

Fee is $25, which includes supplies, wine and snacks. It’s for women only. To reserve a seat, call 675-0204. The next Wine, Women & Art session will be Feb. 20.
