Electronics recycling Saturday in East Aurora

Electronic devices can be turned in for free recycling from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Nativity Lutheran Church, 970 E. Main St., East Aurora, in a collection sponsored by State Sen. Patrick M. Gallivan, R-Elma; Sunnking Electronics Recycling, Time Warner Cable and the East Aurora Rotary Club.

Items that will be accepted include desktop, laptop and tablet computers, printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, TV sets, monitors, cellphones, PDA’s, IT equipment, communications equipment, MP3 players and toner cartridges. For a complete list, visit sunnking.com/acceptable-materials.

“Many people do not realize that cellphones, laptops and other electronic items contain materials that can be hazardous to the environment,” Gallivan says. “This e-waste recycling event provides a perfect opportunity to quickly and conveniently drop off used and outdated electronics to be properly disposed of.”
