UB ceremony to call attention to human trafficking

A ceremony marking International Human Trafficking Awareness Day will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the University at Buffalo Newman Center, 495 Skinnersville Road, Amherst.

The North Campus ceremony, co-sponsored by State Sen. Mark Grisanti, R-Buffalo, and the UB Domestic Violence Taskforce, will include remarks by Grisanti, law enforcement officials and community members in tribute to the men, women and children who have endured forced labor and other abuse, sometimes at the cost of their lives.

For information, call Grisanti’s office at 854-8705 or email grisanti@nysenate.gov.
