OLAF FUB SEZ: According to comedian Joey Adams, born on this date in 1911, “The difference between playing the stock market and the horses is that one of the horses must win.”

A Man With Many Hats

As a young boy,

It’s time for fun.

Running, playing, laughing

Is all that needs to be done.

Thoughts start to grow

As boys begin to change.

Much more to accomplish,

It can be quite strange.

School work, sports and chores,

So many things to do.

Adding so many activities

All becomes so new.

Everything a young man does

Adds to the list of hats.

The total continues to grow,

Increasing the amount of stats.

The hats a man has

Are not ones he wears.

It’s what he does

To show the world he cares.

A man can be measured

By the things in his life.

Some of these could be

A job, a family and a wife.

Reaching a certain age,

A man tends to look back.

As the number of hats increases,

They become harder to stack.

Try everything in life,

Tell your world “you can.”

Experience and versatility

Make a well-rounded man.
