Three Buffalo residents in a stolen rental car

Two Buffalo men and a Buffalo woman were stopped by state troopers on the Kensington Expressway about 10:15 p.m. Sunday and taken into custody on stolen car charges after the vehicle they were in was reported stolen by a rental company.

The driver, John W. Hamilton, and his passengers, Destiny N. Bowden and John Favors, all 19 and all of Hilton Street, were all charged with criminal possession of stolen property. Favors was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana after troopers reported finding he had some crack cocaine and marijuana. All three face further Buffalo City Court proceedings.
