WARSAW – A 29-year-old man from Las Cruces, New Mexico was arrested on drunken driving charges after a traffic accident on West Mill Street in the Village of Castile about 2:57 a.m. Saturday, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office reported today.

Kevin M. Johnson was arrested after deputies were called to West Mill Street about a damaged vehicle. He was charged with three counts of drunken driving, for having a blood alcohol reading of over 0.18 per cent and refusing to submit to a breath screening test at the scene of the incident.

Briefly held at the Wyoming County Jail, he faces Castile Village Court proceedings in two weeks. New York State troopers assisted county sheriff’s deputies at the scene of the accident.
