Buffalo Police are investigating a pair of shootings that occurred late Friday.
Patrick Jones and Fernando Davis, both 18, were sitting on a porch outside a home on Riley Street near Fillmore Avenue when someone opened fire on them with shotguns shortly before 11 p.m., police said.
Jones was listed in serious condition Saturday in Erie County Medical Center, where he was being treated for wounds to the left leg and left arm. Davis was released after treatment in the same hospital for a gunshot wound to his left leg.
Both victims were taken to ECMC by ambulance, and police said they found two shotguns in a garbage tote outside a home near the shooting scene.
Officers said another Buffalo man was fortunate to escape injury after a shooting on Elmer Avenue, near East Amherst Street, about 10:20 p.m.. The man told police that he was sitting in a car when four people pulled up in another vehicle and began shooting at his car.
About 11 shots were fired, but the man was unhurt, police said.
