NIAGARA FALLS – A thief who stole a bank card wasted little time before lunging into a five-hour shopping spree – buying gasoline, lunch and a bunch of Christmas presents, authorities said.

A Lockport woman told Niagara County sheriff’s deputies that her bank card was taken either late Thursday or early Friday, probably at her workplace on 30th Street.

After discovering the card missing, the victim contacted her bank and learned that the card was used at a gas station, fast-food restaurant, pharmacy, convenience store and a discount outlet, for a total of $261, deputies said.
