The westbound Thruway reopened at around 6:20 a.m. this morning after being closed for nearly two and a half hours due to an accident involving twos tractor-trailers.

The incident happened at around 4 a.m. near the William Street exit and the Niagara Thruway, forcing traffic to be diverted.

No one was injured.

A load of sour cream, eggs and chicken was spilled onto the roadway, necessitating a cleanup operation.
