EJ Manuel has another knee injury, but this one's considered minor

Buffalo Bills rookie quarterback EJ Manuel has another knee injury.

Bills coach Doug Marrone announced this afternoon Manuel sprained his left knee during Sunday's 27-20 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The injury is believed to be minor, but Marrone revealed it today because Manuel will appear on Wednesday's injury report anyway.

"He should be OK," Marrone said. "I don't feel like it's going to be anything. We have time."

Manuel played the entire game and got better as it unfolded.

His first four passes were incomplete, with an ugly interception on a screen pass. But he completed 17 of his remaining 20 attempts for 193 yards and two touchdowns. He ran eight times for 39 yards and a touchdown.

Manuel has had two knee surgeries since August. He injured his left knee in the preseason and his right knee in Week Five against the Cleveland Browns.

Marrone said defensive tackle Marcell Dareus (ankle) and safety Aaron Williams (ribs) likely would miss Wednesday's practice or be limited with further evaluation throughout the week.

Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (ankle), right guard Kraig Urbik (foot) and linebacker Kiko Alonso (knee) are expected to be fine for Sunday's home finale against the Miami Dolphins.
