Buffalo got the star treatment in today’s Toronto Star.
“Getting to Know Buffalo,” a special eight-page section, trumpets the city’s history, architecture and people, as well as the making of Cheerios, destination chicken wings at the Anchor Bar and Duff’s, and developer Rocco Termini’s dramatic remaking of the Lafayette Hotel.
The section offers four articles and columns by Star writers, with headlines like “Well, I’ll be Buffalo’d, this is a great city,” “Let’s raise a glass to this city!” and “A city that reaches for the sky.” The Buffalo News’ Donn Esmonde makes a guest appearance. Pictured atop the Hotel @ the Lafayette, he beckons visitors to see Buffalo in a new light beyond malls, big-box stores and sporting events.
Take heart, Buffalo – if the Toronto Star is any indication, they already are.
