Triple felon in sex case facing 11 years in prison

LOCKPORT – A Level 3 sex offender who pleaded guilty to three felonies was sentenced to 11 years in prison and 15 years of post-release supervision Wednesday by Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas.

Isaac L. McDonald, 29, of 24th Street, Niagara Falls, had pleaded guilty to third-degree rape, also known as statutory rape, for having sex seven times with a 15-year-old girl in 2012. He also had admitted to failure to register as a sex offender and disseminating indecent material to a minor.

“He’s the same person he’s been since he was 17,” Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth R. Donatello said. By that, she explained, she meant that McDonald likes to have relationships with underage girls.

McDonald already was on the sex offender registry because of his conviction in 2003 on two counts of second-degree rape for having sex with 14- and 15-year-old girls.
