A 36-year-old Buffalo man faces a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated, after he was accused of recording a blood-alcohol level four times the legal limit over the weekend, state police reported Tuesday.

An Alden-based trooper stopped a car on Two Rod Road in the Town of Alden at about 9 p.m. Friday, after noticing that the vehicle had a non-functioning headlight. The trooper spotted an open beer container in the car, and the driver, Brian M. Grover, of Woodside Avenue, was charged with DWI after he failed roadside sobriety tests, according to police reports.

A subsequent blood alcohol content reading of 0.32 percent led the trooper to add the charge of aggravated DWI, state police said.
