GAME PLAN – Watch Sunday afternoon’s Buffalo Bills game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a lineup of Bills alumni in the Armor Inn, 5381 Abbott Road, Hamburg.

Sponsored by Blondes vs. Brunettes of Buffalo, the event runs from noon to 5 p.m. and will feature appearances by Ruben Brown, Lou Piccone, Bob Schmidt, Ed Rutkowski, Gabe Northern, Al Bemiller, Mike Hamby, Ken Jones, Mark Brammer, Hilton Crawford, Bob Dugan, Pete Mills, Jeff Nixon and possibly Jim Kelly and Andre Reed.

All will be signing autographs and posing for pictures.

Tickets are $25 at the door and include pop and finger foods. Signed Bills memorabilia will be auctioned at halftime.

HOLIDAY HARMONIES – The Buffalo Schwaben Choir and the Schwaben Spatzen will present a German Christmas Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday in St. Luke Lutheran Church, 900 Maryvale Drive at Union Road, Cheektowaga. A free-will offering will be collected. After the concert, there will be refreshments in the church hall.


TALENT SEARCH – Once again the Friends of the BPO volunteers and the Buffalo Chamber Music Society are offering Young Musicians Scholarships of $1,000, $2,000 and $3,000, and up to three $1,500 Silverman String Scholarships to high school seniors in Erie and Niagara counties who plan to major in music at college next fall.

AWAY IN A MANGER – Live animals will be featured in the Living Nativity program from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Salem Lutheran Church, 10 McClellan Circle at McKinley Parkway and Whitfield Avenue in South Buffalo. ANGELIC ANTHEMS – Special featured artist will be Megan Rozak, as Father Bill Quinlivan hosts the program “Back to Bethlehem: Songs of Advent and Christmas” at 7 p.m. Friday in Father Cotter Hall of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 263 Claremont Ave., Town of Tonawanda.


UPPER CRUST – A ticket to fame lies between two slices of bread in Costanzo’s Signature Sandwich Recipe Contest. Winner will join the lineup of Costanzo’s 2014 Signature Sandwiches and will be advertised to chefs, brokers and foodies across North America. For good measure, there’s a $100 Costanzo’s gift card and four Buffalo Sabres tickets.

All sandwiches must be created using Costanzo’s bread and rolls, which can be seen at www.CostanzosBakery.com. Entry forms can be found on the Costanzo’s Facebook page. Entries must be received by Jan. 3. First 10 to enter sandwich ideas will receive a $25 Costanzo’s gift card.
