NIAGARA FALLS – Police investigated three car break-ins Friday nightin the LaSalle shopping and restaurant district, including two in the Military Road parking lot of the Olive Garden restaurant.
Two Canadian residents told police their cars were broken into near the restaurant between 7 and 8 p.m. In each case, a rear window had been broken, police said. One victim lost $45 in cash, and the other, three pairs of Nike sneakers valued at $300. Total damage was estimated at about $2,000.
A Town of Niagara resident’s 2013 Ford was broken into between 7 and 11 p.m. while parked in the Niagara Falls Boulevard lot of Honey’s restaurant, police said. A window was smashed and items in the car moved about, nothing appeared to have been taken, police said.
