Gowanda man jailed on bail-jumping charge

IRVING – A Gowanda man was held on a charge of third-degree bail jumping Friday after Collins-based state Pplice who pulled his vehicle over for speeding discovered that he was wanted on two bench warrants for failure to appear in court.

Kelly D. Nephew, 19, was stopped on Brant Reservation Road on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation about 3:30 p.m. Besides the bail jumping count, he was charged with speeding and third-degree aggravated unlicenensed operation of an uninspected and uninsured vehicle.
