The Thomas Reynolds Center for Special Education and After-School Programs at Daemen College has been awarded a $49,802 grant from the Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation for a project that will help students with learning disabilities make the transition from elementary school to middle school.

The Reynolds Center, in conjunction with Amherst Central School teachers, will develop the transition project as a pilot program and offer it to about 25 Amherst students who will enter middle school next year.
