Two Buffalo men pleaded guilty Friday before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara in separate bank robbery cases Friday.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Melissa M. Marangola said Jeffrey Turner, 23, admitted robbing the M&T Bank at 788 Tonawanda St. on June 13 and the M&T Bank at 1580 Hertel Ave. on July 1.

Marangola said Donovan Devost, 20, pleaded guilty to taking part in three robberies, including the Key Bank on Elmwood Avenue on June 21, First Niagara Bank at 805 Main St. on June 19 and First Niuagara Bank at 529 Elmwood Ave. on April 30.

The defendants were charged with passing bank tellers a handwritten note threatening the use of a firearm.
