William S. Hein and Co. promoted Miranda J. Rosati to manager, marketing. Rosati is a graduate of the University at Buffalo. She joined the company in 2008 and previously served as marketing administrator. William S. Hein and Co. is a publisher of original legal publications, a major reprinter of legal classics and out-of-print U.S. Government Printing Office documents, a distributor of legal periodicals and a provider of a multitude of services to the law library community.


The Buffalo Niagara Partnership named Joanne Campagna chairwoman of its newly formed CanAm Council. Campagna is senior vice president of global commercial banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. The Partnership’s CanAm Council represents member companies engaged in cross-border commerce and oversees an agenda focused on binational relationship-building and border advocacy.


Daemen College appointed Paula A. Witherell director of institutional communication. Witherell has more than 17 years of higher-education communications and public-relations experience. She earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s certificate, both from SUNY Buffalo State.

Company Connections

Catholic Medical Partners, a network of more than 900 local physicians, Catholic Health and Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, was recently recognized for its leadership in the adoption, implementation and use of health information technology, receiving the PATH Award from the New York eHealth Collaborative. The award was presented at the Digital Health Conference in New York City.


Advance Auto Parts recently opened its first Grand Island store at 2166 Grand Island Blvd. The general manager, Patrick Lewis, works with eight other team members at the location.


Carleton Technologies, Orchard Park, was awarded a $350,166 federal contract for ammunition and explosives from the U.S. Air Force Materiel Command, Hill Air Force Base, Utah.


Buffalo Pumps, North Tonawanda, was awarded a $40,000 federal contract for the repair of centrifugal pumps from the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command, Mechanicsburg, Pa.


Members of the Town Highway Superintendents Association of Erie County recently made a donation of $600 in cash and additional toys to the Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Foundation at its annual November “Toys for Tots” meeting. This is the 16th year that the group has organized the cash/toy drive.
