WARSAW – A 32-year-old Silver Springs man remained in the Wyoming County Jail here in lieu of $100,000 bail on his indictment for allegedly trafficking in heroin in Warsaw, Gainseville, Castile and the Silver Springs area over the past couple of months, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday.

Michael J. Regatuso, of East Road, faces trial on his indictment on seven counts each of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third-degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and a felony conspiracy count. Officials said a search of Regatuso’s home last week led to the seizure there of quantities of marijuana, heroin and other narcotics and two vehicles.

His arrest capped a joint investigation by the Wyoming County Drug Task Force and the State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team. A K-9 unit from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and the Wyoming County District Attorney’s Office also took part.
