Buffalo police have identified the body of a female found Monday morning in a burning car and ruled her death a homicide.
The victim was identified as Desirae James, 30, of Buffalo, said Chief of Detectives Dennis J. Richards.
Firefighters responded to a car fire at around 1:30 a.m. Monday in the vicinity of 78 Swinburne Street, police said.
The woman’s body was discovered in the 2004 Pontiac, as firefighters were extinguishing the blaze.
An autopsy performed by the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that the death was a homicide.
