Call it chicken soup for the soul on Thanksgiving week.

Celebrity chef Rachael Ray on Monday will set the tone for Thanksgiving with a “Thanks for Giving” show and sharing the story of NFTA bus driver Darnell Barton.

He is the guy who recently stopped his bus and stopped a woman who was preparing to jump from the Elmwood Avenue overpass into speeding traffic below on the Scajaquada Expressway.

The show will air at 9 a.m. Monday on WIVB, Channel 4.

And, Barton will be in good company. His story of saving the distraught woman is one of four to be highlighted on the show.

“The entire studio audience will be made up of heroes, who in some way, whether it was giving medical attention to Boston Marathon bombing victims, or providing food and shelter for those devastated by Hurricane Sandy, made a difference in the past year,” Ray said in a news release.
