Bryan Adams is in concert Saturday at Shea’s Performing Arts Center.

Bryan Adams, once a familiar figure in the world of arena rock, has spent the last several years scaling things back toward concerts that highlight intimacy, artist-crowd interaction, and the populist power of the songs. This has meant a concentration on smaller venues and replacing the full band arena-pop that made Adams a star in the 1980s with a one-man, acoustic-based format.

The latest of Adams solo jaunts has been dubbed the “Bare Bones Tour,” and it finds the Canadian singer-songwriter digging into his bag of hits, and throwing in some rarely played favorites as well. The tour comes to Shea’s Performing Arts Center (646 Main St.) at 8 p.m. Saturday. Expect to hear blasts from the past like “Summer of ‘69,” “Cuts Like A Knife” and “Run To You,” as well as more recent fare. Tickets are $39.15 to $89.35 (box office, Ticketmaster).
