Two charged for their roles in an armed robbery

NIAGARA FALLS – A man who allegedly robbed a victim at gunpoint and a woman who apparently lured the victim there, were both charged on a warrant Tuesday for their roles in a Nov. 3 armed robbery in the 400 block of Fourth Street.

Joshua C. Shimmel, 26, of Portage Road and Alidia A.M. Henry, 17, of Ferry Avenue were each charged with both first and second-degree robbery.

The 22-year-old victim, a Buffalo man, said he was near a bar and grill when a man grabbed his shoulder, spun him around and pointed a gun in his face. He said three other men knocked him down, punched and kicked him and stole his wallet and cell phone.

He said he was out that night with a woman he met on a dating site. The victim said the young woman appeared to know the men who robbed him and she left with them when they ran off.
