LOCKPORT – A Niagara County corrections officer found two orange colored strips, believed to be the narcotic suboxone, in a piece of mail addressed to a woman prisoner in the Niagara County Jail on Wednesday.

The only return address on the green envelope found by officials was “BFF,” which is often used as shorthand for best friends forever.

Deputies also found a card inside the envelope which was signed by “Chuck.”

Officers were searching past visitors who had contact with the prisoner to determine who sent the mail, and the envelope and strips were entered into evidence.
