Three adults, all of them wearing life jackets, were pulled from Lake Erie in Long Point Bay near the Canadian mainland by “good Samaritans” about 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

They were taken to Port Rowan, Ont., for examination after they had been in the water briefly. Their 16-foot open boat was overturned by high winds, investigators said.

No serious injuries were reported.
