NIAGARA FALLS – A dozen teens armed with baseball bats were seen vandalizing property and a car in the 600 block of 70th Street at about 3 a.m. Monday, police said.

The juveniles carrying bats reportedly tried to break into an apartment, striking and kicking the door, and also caused over $1,500 damage to a vehicle at that address, smashing the front and rear windshield, a side fender, front bumper, headlights, hood and trunk.

Police arrested William J. Huffman-Lewis, of Tuscarora Road in the Town of Niagara after witnesses said they remembered his black and white checkered hoody. Several other teens were rounded up by police, but could not be positively identified. Huffman-Lewis was charged by police with felony criminal mischief.

The victim told police his family has had ongoing issues with Huffman-Lewis’ family.
