Orchard Park Police charge two in drunken driving cases

Orchard Park police charged two men in unrelated drunken driving cases Sunday morning.

Brent Adams, 37, of Orchard Park was stopped on Abbot Road at 4:14 a.m. for alleged failure to stay in a lane. Following field sobriety tests, he was charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to a breath test. He was released on $100 bail and a court date was set the Dec. 3.

Shortly after 9 a.m., polices aid, a motorcycle was clocked at speeds ranging from 120 miles an hour to 141 miles an hour along Southwestern Boulevard and passing cars in a center turn lane. Orchard Park Police Officer Daniel Lagoda stopped the motorcyclist after he pulled into the Lehigh Construction parking lot on South Taylor Road.

The driver, Neil J. Adams, 25, of West Seneca, was charged with driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, third-degree unlawfully fleeing police, two counts of reckless driving, four counts of speeding, two counts of driving in the center lane, driving out of class, failure to signal and passing in a no pass zone. He was held for arraignment.
