YOUNGSTOWN – A man who refused to stop burning leaves Friday afternoon was threatened with a Taser, Niagara County sheriff’s deputies said.
Jordan W. Cannova, 23, of Hillview Drive, was charged with the open burn violation and obstructing governmental administration.
Deputies, who said they showed up at Cannova’s home about 4:30 p.m. in response to complaints of an open burn, told the suspect he was violating county regulations. However, Cannova refused to extinguish the fire, refused to answer further questions and attempted to walk away, deputies said. It wasn’t until he was threatened with the Taser that ne ”reluctantly” cooperated, deputies added.
