LOCKPORT – A man who gashed the head of his daughter’s boyfriend after the boyfriend poured a glass of water over the girl’s head received a conditional discharge Friday from Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas.

Robert V. Abrams Jr., 48, of Ontario Avenue, Niagara Falls, was described as a youth sports coach and mentor by his attorney, Robert Viola. Farkas agreed that the July 16, 2012, incident was an “aberration.”

Abrams, who swung an object at the head of Gabriel B. Felts, 29, and eventually pleaded guilty to third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.
