LOCKPORT – A Lockport man pleaded not guilty in Niagara County Court Thursday to a 17-count indictment accusing him of four domestic violence incidents in the Town of Lockport, including two in which he allegedly choked a woman.

Gregory J. Peterkin Jr., 28, of Washburn Street, denied three counts of second-degree assault; two counts each of criminal obstruction of breathing, third-degree menacing and endangering the welfare of a child, five counts of aggravated criminal contempt; and single counts of first-degree criminal contempt, unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

He was living on Dysinger Road in the town during the series of crimes, the most recent, allegedly occurring on Oct. 12. County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas ordered Peterkin jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail.
