A Lancaster man was charged by state and Environmental Conservation police Sunday is accused of making an illegal deer kill.

A vehicle bearing the deer driven by Jacob Nichter, 26, was stopped on Sheridan Drive in Clarence, where troopers determined noticed a suspciaous tag on the deer, authorities said.

State Department of Environmental Conservation police said the deer was killed llegally and improperly tagged. Nichter was charged with illegal hunting and violating state Fish and Wildlife Law. He was issued an appearance ticket for Clarence Town Court.
