A Buffalo man was charged Thursday with making, selling and delivering fraudulent U.S. currency.

If convicted, Novel Rogers, 25, could face up to 20 year in prison and a $250,000 fine or both, according to U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr.

Rogers is accused of selling counterfeit currency on several occasions recently, and a search of the suspect’s residence led to the seizure of more than $16,000 in counterfeit bills, authorities said. The Secret Service the investigated the case.
