The latest advances in the treatment of lung cancer will be highlighted as Roswell Park Cancer Institute holds its fifth annual Breath of Life Celebration from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday in the Research Studies Center, Carlton and Elm streets, across from the main hospital.

The free program for lung cancer survivors, their families and those who want to learn more about the disease will serve as a kickoff for Lung Cancer Awareness Month. To attend, call toll-free (877) 275-7724 (ASK RPCI) or email ASKRPCI@roswellpark.org.

“People can share their experiences with other survivors and learn about how to live with lung cancer,” said Dr. Mary E. Reid, associate professor of oncology and director of collaborative research in Roswell Park’s department of medicine.
