City Mission has received a $20,000 donation from KeyBank to create new classroom space for the educational program for the homeless at its men’s center.

The KeyBank Skills4Life Center, which will be open to all residents of City Mission’s men’s and women’s centers, will have new computers and work stations for residents taking GED training and precollegiate studies.

The “College for the Homeless,” launched last December in collaboration with Erie Community College, helps prepare City Mission residents to enroll at ECC for a one-year certificate program or a two-year degree that could lead to finding a job.
