Price: $1.3 million

Buyer: Atwal family, through Lawta Properties LLC

Seller: Kevin R. Keane

Planned Use: Residence. Property is a 9,717-square-foot, three-story Georgian-style mansion with 11 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, built in 1930 on 0.95 acres. Features a double-foyer, circular staircase, paneled library and wet bar, solarium, a children’s suite, a guest suite, nine fireplaces, gardens, a patio, and manicured grounds. Seller is a quantitative trader and manager, who is president and CEO of Buffalo-based high-frequency securities trading firm Thor Trading LLC and also head of trading for Maple Securities USA, a subsidiary of Toronto-based Maple Financial Group. Lawta is registered to the address of Atwal Eye Care in Cheektowaga, which consists of Drs. Amar and Ephraim Atwal. A brother, Parm Atwal, has also been involved in past property purchases by Lawta and runs a farming business.

Planned Use: Likely new dental office. Niles is an ophthalmologist and part of Ophthalmology Associates of Western New York. He and his partner last year purchased a new building at 6333 Main St., where they have relocated their practice in about half the building. Buffalo Dental is located next door to this building, at 5845 Main.

3 — Location: 1350 Eggert Road, Amherst

Buyer: Ellicott Development Co., through 9187 Group LLC

Seller: Ellicott Development Co., through 1097 Group LLC

Planned Use: Uncertain. Property is the former Cantalician Center for Learning school, which is being consolidated with another Cantalician facility. Ellicott, owned by Carl and William Paladino, bought the Eggert Road property in July for $700,000.

Price: $350,000

Seller: Robert M. Schultz and Ruth Ann Matre

Planned Use: Property is a single-story, 4,032-square-foot retail property on 0.537 acres, built in 1950. Former home of Danny Dole Inc. Buyer is registered to the property address.

Buyer: Ki-Po Motors Chevrolet Inc. of Ransomville, N.Y.

Seller: Douglas E. and Brenda L. Krueger of Lexington, Ky., as co-executors for estate of Robert E. Krueger

Planned Use: Upgrading of Ki-Po Chevrolet car dealership on 3.79-acre property. Ki-Po acquired the property on which its dealership sits, and plans to renovate and expand the showroom and service facility, with the construction of a 4,300-square-foot addition to the building.

8 — Location: 10510 Main St., Clarence

Seller: Alice A. Owczarczak of West Seneca, through Owczarczak Rollek LLC

Planned Use: Property is 4,000-square-foot, one-story, single-use building, constructed in 1968 on half an acre. Former U.S. post office. Will be home for Town of Clarence Youth Bureau.

Planned Use: Investment. Property is a two-story, 3,274-square-foot four-unit apartment building, constructed in 1920.
