The Lancaster Farmers Market is hosting a benefit event today for Geri Hens, a vendor who was seriously injured in a car accident and currently cannot work.
Hens, the sole proprietor of Hens Bee Farm, has no medical insurance.
The benefit will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, at the market, 4913 Transit Road, in the AMF Bowling Alley.
All of the market’s vendors have made donations to the event. There will be more than 30 baskets worth more than $500, in all.
Music will be presented by the group True Blue, starting at 10 a.m. Breakfast sandwiches, pulled pork and homemade chili will be served as part of the fundraiser.
