University at Buffalo School of Nursing dean Marsha L. Lewis was inducted as a fellow into the American Academy of Nursing at its 40th annual meeting and conference. The academy is composed of more than 2,000 nurse leaders in education, management practice, policy and research.


Boulevard Federal Credit Union financial counselor Emma Smalley and Great Erie Federal Credit Union member development coordinator Cara Carlevatti are among a group of 48 individuals named “credit union rock stars” by Credit Union magazine, a national publication in the credit union industry.


Phillips Lytle attorney Kevin J. Mulvehill will receive the 2013 Pro Bono Award from the Erie County Bar Association’s Volunteer Lawyers Project for his work on the Immigration Project at this year’s sixth Annual Champions for Justice Bash. The annual event celebrates the work done by the ECBA Volunteer Lawyers Project, Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo and Legal Services for the Elderly, Disabled or Disadvantaged of WNY.


Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel partner Nicole R. Tzetzo will serve as a presenter at the Lumsden & McCormick Annual Exempt Organizations Conference. Tzetzo will present “New Developments in Nonprofit Law,” a review of increased government regulation, including Executive Order 38 and the Nonprofit Revitalization Act of 2013. The conference will take place Nov. 6 in the Buffalo Niagara Marriott, Amherst.
