Republicans are working against the country’s good

In spite of the fact that losing the last presidential election caused many of the Republicans to “change their spots” and abandon their extreme ways, there is still a lot of derisive talk from their party.

They want smaller government, less spending and lower taxes, not realizing that historically it was Republican presidents that had the biggest government, the biggest spending and the biggest tax increases.

In their perfect world the environment would be ignored, gays would be kept in the closet, illegals would self-deport themselves and women would sing “Stand By Your Man.”

Obama’s been looking for common ground for over five years, but the Republicans would rather inflict misery on the nation than work together for the common good, as evidenced by their recent decision to shut down the government.
