NIAGARA FALLS – Two men wearing ski masks and armed with long guns who attempted to rob Frenchy’s Pizza at 2210 Niagara St. about 11:40 p.m. Wednesday apparently left empty-handed.

The bandits demanded cash, pointing their weapons at three employees who fled out the back door of the business and called police. A customer also had left when the gunmen arrived. Both bandits fled along Niagara Street and got into a vehicle in the 400 block of 23rd Street, a witness told police.

A customer told the employees that about an hour before the attempt, someone wearing a ski mask was peering into the window, according to police.

This is the third armed robbery in the city in as many days. On Monday morning, a man with a handgun robbed the Dairy Queen on Niagara Street. On Tuesday night, two masked men – one armed with a long gun – robbed the 7-Eleven on Pine Avenue.
