Tim Meyers

Candidate for Cheektowaga Town Board

Lines on Ballot: Democratic

Age: 52

Number of years living in town: lifelong resident

Occupation/Employer: Airfield supervisor/Niagara Falls International Airport

Top campaign platform agendas:

Taxes, taxes, taxes. High taxes are hurting all of us, especially seniors on fixed incomes.

Also, the youth of our town – with both parents working so they can live in Cheektowaga – have no place to go after school; i.e. the Depew-Lancaster Boys & Girls Club. We need something to mirror that they are our future.

The town currently has 21 departments that all do their own purchasing. To me, that is absurd ... buying in bulk saves. Get a bid for materials and supplies.

Biggest issues facing the town:

I have been walking this town for six months, and the common theme among residents is taxes and services. They feel taxes are too high and they want someone to talk to regarding services.
