Roger McGill Jr., Candidate for Cheektowaga Town Board

Roger McGill Jr.

Candidate for Cheektowaga Town Board

Lines on Ballot: Republican, Independence

Age: 51

Number of years living in town: 46

Occupation/Employer: retired from New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision

Top campaign platform agendas:

• Neighborhood preservation and quality-of-life issues.

• Taxes.

• Downsizing of town board; getting voters’ opinions.

• One hundred percent assessment; getting voters’ opinions.

Biggest issues facing the town:

• I believe the single most important issue in Cheektowaga is the high taxes. We have a large segment of our residents who are older, retired on fixed incomes.

• Business as usual in Cheektowaga cannot continue. We must find and eliminate waste, and work to reduce the cost of labor in town.

• I will not support a tax increase at any cost if I’m elected.
