WILSON – A fire that broke out Wednesday afternoon destroyed a Town of Wilson barn, including farm vehicles, tractors and other equipment. The loss was placed at $150,000.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation. Niagara County Sheriff James R. Voutour said investigators do not believe the fire was suspicious.

By the time firefighters arrived at 4335 Wilson-Burt Road about 4:30 p.m., the structure was fully engulfed, Voutour said. South Wilson and Wilson companies fought the blaze. The Niagara County Cause and Origin Team is investigating.
