The East Aurora Village Board approved a new restaurant set to open next summer with its own small “nano” brewery at 189 Main St., next to the Bar Bill Tavern.
The yet-to-be-named restaurant will brew an estimated 30 gallons of beer a week from locally grown hops and barley, said Clark Crook, who also owns Bar Bill.
While Bar Bill is known for its wings and roast beef, the new restaurant will have a distinctly different menu and will be larger, at about 1,600 square feet, compared with the Bar Bill’s 1,000.
Crook said he hopes the patrons of the new establishment will help pick the name. “This community likes to adopt its treasures,” he said. “It’ll be fun.”
