LOCKPORT – A man who jumped bail on a stolen car charge was sentenced Monday to five years’ probation, to begin with six months in jail, most of which he has already served.

DeJuan R. Savage, 24, of Eighth Street, was sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. for second-degree bail jumping.

Savage failed to show up Feb. 8 in Niagara Falls City Court to answer charges that he crashed a stolen 2009 Buick into a parked van on Dec. 7, leading to a foot chase by police.
