Candidate for Tonawanda Town Board
Lines on Ballot: Republican, Independence
Number of years living in town: 30
Occupation/Employer: Financial controller for a private company in Elma, NY.
Top campaign platform agendas:
Maintain and improve where possible the quality of life for Town residents – residents do not want their services compromised or reduced. Have work session meetings recorded and posted on the Town website and possibly at a more convenient time for residents to attend. Bring a fresh perspective to the Town Board. I agree with the term limits policy that has been passed and feel that you have to change who represents the citizens from time to time to govern ethically. I believe that more than one political party should be represented so that government operates with checks and balances.
Please name the biggest issues facing the town:
From the residents that I speak to, it is quality of life issues. I attended community watch meetings over the summer and I learned that nuisance crimes are a major concern to our residents. Increasing our police patrols to combat those crimes and prevent more serious criminal activity is very important. We also need to look at marketing the town to attract new businesses – much like neighboring towns and counties have been doing.
