WARSAW – A 30-year-old Perry man was belatedly charged with felony and aggravated drunken driving for allegedly knocking over a road sign and a mail box on County Line Road in the Town of Perry on Oct. 14 and then driving off to Letchworth State Park, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office reported today.

Ryan D. McDanel, of Orchard Street, was tracked down by State Park Police and later charged with felony driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated for having a blood-alcohol level of over 0.18 per cent, failure to keep right, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle.

He has been remanded to the Wyoming County Jail and faces further proceedings in Perry Town Court at 6 p.m. Nov. 6.

In addition to the State Park Police, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the case by the State Police and Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
